Caricatures- My version of my Nephew

I have used the following picture as a reference and came up with the following caricatures in less than 40 minutes on a simple index card. I had used only 2B and 4B pencils for the job.

Pranav (Nephew) however was more interested in the cars I sketched for him, though he blushed. 

Love NBA

My husband is the motivation for this comic.It was sketched during the NBA finals and the rest is pretty much understood ;-)

Bubbles.

I had used prismacolor pencils to complete this sketch. It was done a few months back while I was in India. Thanks to Upender who shared his pencils and the sheet of super of white, which added to my excitement to complete this sketch.

Follow the light

Another doodle. Its a person with constant search for light, seeking riddance from ignorance.

With all my heart

I had used patterned paper to form the background of the card. I had used blue and green card stock, distress ink, blue gel pen and a gem embellishment to make the flower. The sentiment in hand written on a card stock.  I loved the white patterned card stock used for making this card. I liked the texture of this card.

It's Fun

I had used a brush to spray the white, orange and brown colors on the color paper and then cut the pieces out to assemble them as shown below. An exhaust fan is the inspiration for this card.

Best Wishes for You

I had cut out thin strips of paper of equal width from a pattern paper, majorly blue and olive green. I then drew flowers and leaves and coloured them with sketch pens. I had then used a chip board border design to add interest to the hand written sentiment.

The dragon

I used a black gel pen and a sheet of paper to come up with this dragon.

I had coloured the 4 strips shown here with acrylics, assembled them all as shown and made this card. I felt so bright and thus the brightness is induced into this card as well.

Love you Mom

I miss you so much mom and this card is for you. Only when am away from you did I realize how much you were concerned for me all the time. The talking we did, the jokes we laughed at, the yummy food you cooked for me, bedtime fun - I miss each and everything about you. I am waiting for the day I can hug you again....

New York city- Ball Pen art

I have used my ball pen, a 4"X4" drawing sheet and my imagination to come up with this sketch.

Thanks to Satwik Gade's ball pen art which inspired me to do this.
