Belated birthday wishes

Hi all, its a belated post and it's a belated birthday wishes card. My broken laptop dumped me and I am busy getting all the backup I can and installing softwares all over again on my new computer.
This happens to be the last card that I will be making for the 365 DT. I will miss the blog and I'd like to thank Pam for the opportunity. So this Monday we challenge you to create a "Tone-on-Tone" card, which requires you to create a card using tone on tone two different colors card. You can do this with stamping, alpha stickers, layering with the same cardstock color. You just have to come up with 2 different colors or tones to try this with. Come on and join the fun @ 365 cards.
I am also submitting this card for Birthday Card Challenge @ Moxie Fab World.
Hope you liked the card. Your opinion about the card matters. Thanks for peeking in.

Bouquet of hearts

Hi all. This is a card for my love - A bouquet of hearts. The inspirational picture from RIC # 40 Stella McCartney,  triggered this idea. The colors and the hearts say it all.
I'm submitting this card for the challenge @ RIC. It took me just 6 minutes to make this card.

Hope you liked the card. Your opinion about the card matters. Thanks for peeking in.

Round card - My First Attempt

Hi all. Today I have an interesting card to share with you. I, for a long time, wanted to make a round shaped card but never got the right idea to execute. Thanks to the 'Spring Flower Suncatcher' stamp from DRS Designs, this week's sponsor for 365 cards. In the very first look at it I knew that I will be making a round shaped card using the stamp and here it is

This Monday's challenge @ 365 cards is Floral Fantasy, which requires you to Put a minimum of 10 flowers on your card using at least 2 different methods. I have put 13 flowers on my card; 4 big flowers from the stamp and the others are sequins (That's two methods).  I have coloured the entire stamp using the following copics --  B0000, 02, 04; BG000, 01, 05; BV000, 02, 04; RV - 93, 91, 00;   Y 02, 04; YR 61; YG 11, 13, 17. Oh! I am in love with my copics.

I have cut out all the negative space in the stamp to show up the background texture of the card base. Take a closer look below to see all the flowers and colouring in detail. Don't miss the little clumsy bow at the tip ;-)

Birthday blast

Hi all. I am in Texas right now enjoying with my cousin.  Darling daughter Akki, 4 year old, is great fun to be with. We will be heading to Austin in some time and there I'm sure I will have a blast with Pranav, my 5 year old nephew, and my favourite cousin Madhuri. That's my trip update!

This Monday @ 365 cards we have "Blow Art Background" Challenge which requires you to Create a background for your card using the blow art technique. You can use any type of ink or paint that you want, as long as it is liquid enough to move on the paper by blowing air onto it. Here is the card I made using this simple and fun technique.

I love the effect created, where two colors came together. It's so brilliant. This card is for my brother's birthday. Share your mind'blow'ing creations here @ 365 cards and join the fun.

I'm also submitting this card for the Birthday Card Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I guess I'm not going to stop with just this card and will be making more cards for the challenge.

Time for Celebration

Hi all. As I have mentioned in my post yesterday I made time to create this card for irresistible challenges. Finally, I am now equipped with Copic Markers. Yaaayyy! The two dancing images on this card are coloured using copic markers.

This card is inspired by the current fortnight's challenge RIC # 39 - Clover Canyon Resort @ Runway inspired challenge. The costume and the hair of the model  seemed somewhat tribal to me (though there aren't any beads, Lol) and hence the tribal dancing on the card. The designs on the dresses of the tribal dancers are a copy from the RIC # 39 picture. Click on any of the images below to go to the blog.

I observed that I have been using a lot of brown burlap; my new toy, on many of my cards, including the one I made yesterday. So for the CFC 108 - Material Girl @ CAS-ual fridays, I have used this white burlap ribbon, which highlighted the images better. Click on the image below to go to the challenge blog.

Summer Tangerine

Hi all. It's a free week for me between two busy week-long trips. While I am trying to catch up with the DT commitments in the gap, I couldn't resist challenges from my favourite blogs. Here is the card, that I have completed in less than 15 minutes.

This week's Tuesday Trigger @ Moxie Fab World has such bright colours, wow! The summer colours on my card are inspired from the trigger.

I gave a pat to myself for adding the burlap background, LOL! I am also entering this card into this week's CAS-ual Friday's challenge CFC 108 - Material Girl

Wrapping paper

Hi all. This Monday's challenge @ 365 cards got me mused for a while. I couldn't get any idea nor a picture for a while. I kept going through all my gift wraps on and on when I suddenly stopped at one. Oo-la and I made this card.

You must have guessed what the challenge is about already. Yes, It's a wrap, where you are required to use a wrapping  paper as a background for your card. Fun! Isn't it? Showcase your wrapping creations here. Below is the wrapping paper that I have used on the card next to it.

Nature Scene

Hi all. It has been a busy month. I will be busy for the coming two months as well, with lot of travelling. Here is the card for today.

This week the challenge @ 365 cards is quite interesting; it's "I'm torn", where you need to create a nature scene and include a paper tearing technique any way you’d like. Take a closer look at the card here to see the paper tearing for the snow.

How I made the card?
I had used pieces of white torn paper for the snow and the snow mountain in this scenery. I then used white mist for the stars and inked the sky with black and white pigment on a navy blue card base to finish the sky. I had used black and white acrylic paints for the trees and the snow. I drew the tent and had coloured it with copic markers and adhered it with dimensional adhesives. I brushed a little yellow paint over the snow, both on the ground and the tree near by the tent, to give the effect of light reflection on the snow. I then stamped the sentiment "Happy birthday" to finish the card.

I cased the scenery on this card from the picture below.

ETA
I am entering this card into the Birthday Card Challenge in Moxie fab World. I have added this ETA in order to be eligible for entering into this challenge.

Hope you liked the card. Your opinion about the card matters. Thanks for peeking in.
