'Fall'ing for you.

Hi all, here is my card for today.

How I made the card?
Its a pretty simple card. I have put drops of sepia ink on the leaves and let it stain them, to give the dried up effect. Leaves are carefully cut from a cloth (hot wax stripes) with knife and scissors. Colour the leaves with fabric paints. The other pattern and nodes on the leaves is are drawn with lighter shades of a sketch pens. A little plastic wire left to dry in brown colour is cut to make those little stems. Some candle wax behind the leaves, at the center along a line, does the trick of folding of the leaves a little to make it look more natural.

I then had to stamp the sentiment (except for the word falling), use a little washi tape and then added the two brilliant leaves.

I am submitting this card for the CFC71- Fall fun @ Casual Fridays here. I have enjoyed making this card and playing along with this challenge.

Also I am submitting this card for challenge # 121- Autumn @ Sentimental Sundays here.

Hope you enjoyed my card for today. your opinion about the card matters. Thank you.

Jar full of wishes.

Here is another card for today.
How I made this card?
I have been thinking for the past 2 weeks that I must try something I have never did before. Moxie fab never fails to inspired me and it did this time with the JAR. I din't want to stamp and draw a jar, which is the most often used method. I thought why not 'create a jar'. For the next 30 minutes I set off searching everywhere in my house, my supplies and my collection for a jar. Then I came across a plastic casing over thermometer. I cut the plastic casing appropriately to get the jar. The cap of this jar is a plastic casing for plug points. I have inked it up with sepia and let it dry. I tied a twine and filled the jar with some bright embellishments and then ta-da! The card is done.

Another view of my card (in sunlight)

I am submitting this card for the following challenges
Jars of Joy @ Moxie fab world. This happened to be the most interesting challenge so far.

RIC#20 - Canali @ Runway Inspired Challenge. My best colour inspiration comes from this challenge most of the times. The colour of every embellishment in the jar, the washi tape, the colour paper strips are all one of the colours chosen from the inspiration picture below.

Blue and mint are my favourite colours and this inspiration pic of RIC definitely attracted my attention !! Hope you enjoyed my card. Your opinion about the card matters. Thank you.

{PIN}spirational Challenge # 26

Here is the card for today.

I have used the 'snuggle birds' digital stamp from 'STITCHY BEAR' here and coloured it with watercolor pencils. I have stamped the background  of the sentiment with tiny hearts and embossed it with clear powder. This is the inside of the card. All the sentiments are handwritten.

This card is inspired by the following {PIN}spirational picture of the week.

I [Heart] You !

Here is my card for today.

I made cards with black, white  and yellow/ blue as one other colour. But today I wanted to try a different colour and I happened to go with red. I have used black to stamp the BG (stamps from recollections and inkadinkado) and the sentiment. Any dimension on this card is only achieved through red.

I am submitting this card for the following challenges.

CFC70 - CAS-ual Fridays challenge which asks us to make a card using black white and just another colour.

Challenge # 109 - Black & White plus1 @ 2-sisters Challenge Blog.

Metal+URGEy

Here is my card for today.

I am submitting this card for the ICR challenge # 21 Sketch + Metal-'URGE'y. I must say it is one of a kind challenge. I had to think hard to include appropriate design to suit the kind of metal I use on the card. And even the layout is restricted to one of the two sketches (Thank god I had a choice). I went with the sketch 1.

Here are a few close up where I had used metal on my card. I had used a safety pin and a few metal beads and a leaf I had to finish that tiny embellishment hanging below the sentiment.

I love this typical embellishment of an ancient coin design. I totally loved it and saved it to use on one of my best projects, which inspires me the most.

Here is their challenge pad. If you want to participate in the challenge too, then go ahead and click here.

I am also submitting this card for the following challenges:
Anything goes challenge @ My Heart Pieces here.
Inspired by Stamping Challenge IBSC#26 here. They have posted the following sketch for the challenge this week.

Hope you enjoyed my card. Your opinion about the card matters. Thank you.

I had used a grey card base and a matching pattern paper for the background of the image. This cute cat image and the sentiment are digital stamps from 'Fresh Brewed Designs'. I had used a traditional painting stand design which I achieved using craft sticks.

Hope you liked my card. Do participate in the challenge and join the fun. Your opinion about the card matters. Thank you.

Blue Magic

Hi everyone. Here is my card for today.

I made this card for the following challenges

CFC69 @ CAS-ual Fridays here. The challenge asks for embossing (Dry/Heat). Except for the faux stiching around the card. The rest of the design (background and the sentiment) is achieved through heat embossing. I have used inkadinkado stamps and ink for this card. This is a GD challenge. Fingers crossed.

Challenge # 187 - Black, white and one other colour @ MTTC here.  The title of the challenge says it all. I haven't used any image on this card. I have only used shades of blue to add depth to the background. Here is a better view of the card.

Happy Birthday

Hi, here is my card for today.

I made this card for one of my friends Soumya, who wanted a card with some blue/grey on it for her husband (BTW She makes great cakes, and she wanted the card to match with the colour of the cake she is planning to make for the birthday)

Just when I was looking for the right colour inspiration, embellishment, design and layout inspirations, the following challenges helped me out. It's great fun to play along with challenges. Thanks to the person who started off with this idea. Obviously I am submitting this card for all these challenges

Colour inspiration: RIC#19 - Iceberg @ Runway Inspired challenge. I bet you will want to make a card with these colours on it as soon as you see the image and the inspiration that follows.

Design inspiration:  Lawnscaping challenge: Sketch sponsored by Simon says Stamp here. This is the second card I made for the challenge. I simply love the sketch. You too must try it.

The Focal Point Challenge @ Moxie Fab world here: I am submitting this card for the focal point challenge, since despite the other bright colours, The blue flower draws the attention on the card and the 32 little banners around the flower draw the attention to the sentiment.

So that's how all the inspiration has helped me make this wonderful card. Hope you enjoyed my card. Your opinion about this card matters. Thank you.

Thank you with heart

Here is the card that I made yesterday.

I made this card for the following challenges.
Gallon/Quart/ Pint challenge @ Moxie Fab World here. The techniques they explained and the inspiration is just wonderful. You must definitely go through all the 5 challenges for the Card Design Handbook week, in their website.

Also I had used the sketch from Lawnscaping Challenge: Sketch sponsored by Simon Says Stamp here. The sketch is simple so I have used it for the other card I made as well.

Hope you have enjoyed my card. Your opinion about the card matters. Thank you.

Growing love for you.

Here is the card for today. I am submitting this card for the Shopping Our Stash challenge 67- Wooden it be nice here. They have an excellent DT team which definitely inspires you.

I had to show growing love, implies I have to show growth, which is why I choose the tree. For the challenge I had used the wooden grained paper and also inked it up a little with my brush tool to add more dimension and prominently show the wooden texture. I drew some random white lines on a green color paper and then cut the paper in the shape of tiny leaves quickly and stuck them over the card to complete the tree. The big leaves are special :-D The sentiment is handwritten.

Hope you enjoyed my card. Your opinion about the card matters. Thank you.

--Update--
I was one of the top 3 at SOS with this card. Hurray...! Refer post here.
